Rick Ross – a Grammy-nominated rapper, record producer, mayoral candidate, and the poster child for diving board hubris?
On Monday, July 3, Ross proved that flawless diving is not among his many talents after a clip of him tumbling into the pool at his Georgia mansion while attempting a dive before a crowd of phone-wielding partygoers made the rounds on social media.

“Rick Ross tried to jump off the diving board and his knees gave out on him mid-jump,” Twitter page @RapAllStars captioned a clip of Ross’ fail, a rendition of the Rocky theme song playing in the background as the “Hustlin’” artist accidentally somersaulted into the water below.
Amassing millions of views in its first days on the platform, Ross’ fall garnered a whole lot of sympathy – and even more schadenfreude – from fans online.
“If my knees give out on a diving board while a crowd of people are filming me, I'm simply not coming back up for air,” quipped @hardsoh alongside the viral video. “I'm changing the narrative.”
“Knees folded like a lawn chair lmaoooooo,” joked @The_CLSlinger.
Though his legs may have not been able to stand up during his dive, Ross was able to do so for himself, taking to social media to get candid about his summertime slip, revealing he was attempting to complete a jump he “made … up on the diving board” called “The Double Decker Slapper” at the time of the incident.

"Well, I'm gon' be honest, Am I OK? Of course not. I blew my tire," he explained noting that he previously “gave everyone my word I would do the Double Decker Slapper” on Instagram.
"I did a double bounce and boy my knee caught a flat. Bow!"
To paraphrase Rozay himself, he got down on his knees, motherf*** Twitter’s feelings.
